Ground source heat pumps

Ground source heat pumps make use of heat differentials between the air and the ground. The ground remains warmer than air during the winter, and this energy is available for extraction by a heat pump. Ground source heat pumps use a refrigerant circuit to increase the temperature differential to a level which can be utilised to provide heating and hot water for your home.

Ground source heat pump systems comprise of a ground source heat pump, hot water store and the system used to deliver the heat to the property, usually an underfloor heating circuit or oversized radiators. Heat pumps are designed to provide a total heating and hot water solution for your home, and in most cases means the existing heating sources in the property can be removed.
