Are oil-fired boilers being banned?
The government announced that they would attempt to phase out oil-fired boilers completely but this has been pushed back to 2035. This will be a helpful reprieve for many people as they have more time to find alternatives, including sustainable alternatives.
Is oil boiler covered on home insurance?
Yes, home insurance can cover an oil boiler although this will usually only cover the most basic protection. Therefore it is better to get more comprehensive coverage.
How long do home oil boilers last?
Usually, oil heated boilers last between 10-15 years with maintenance. However, it is important to consistently check your boiler for any signs of damage. So, look for leaks, listen for any kettling and check the flame colour.

Parts and labour included. You can get energy efficiency advice from our Gas Safe registered engineer and no excess fee. Premium is £336 upfront or £28 per month by Direct Debit.
