How often should you service your boiler? Everything you need to know

Whether you're a new property owner or have had a recent replacement or upgrade, knowing how to care for the internal elements of your home isn't always clear.

We’ve put together a boiler service checklist to help you to understand how often you should service your boiler, and what’s involved in the service we provide at Swale Heating.

How often should you service your boiler?

In short, just like a car’s yearly MOT, your boiler should be serviced every 12 months to ensure it's in a safe working condition.

If you’ve missed your annual boiler service, or are unsure of when the last one was carried out, you can find this information out from your manufacturer who should be able to guide you on what to do next.

You can also book in a boiler service with Swale Heating, and we will send out one of our Gas Safe registered engineers to fully service your boiler. Click here to contact us.

Why it’s important to get your boiler serviced

It’s important to make sure you stick to these regular checks. Often, you don’t know something has gone wrong with your boiler until something goes seriously wrong. Having a regular, professional boiler check helps you nip any potential problems in the bud before they escalate into costly repairs, saving you both money and time.

Our boiler service experts are committed to ensuring your heating system is working safely and efficiently. To prevent issues such as a leaking radiator valve or no hot water, having a regular boiler service will ensure that these problems are averted. We aim to resolve any potential issues, and all maintenance is carried out in a professional and timely manner.
