Keeping Our Customers Safe



At Swale Heating, the health and safety of our customers, as well as our employees, is our primary concern. We continue to maintain our boiler services, repairs and installations and we are adhering to Government advice.

To ensure we comply with government advice, we will be asking additional questions at the initial point of contact, to ensure we understand the status of the household in question. 

We are identifying customers who may be self-isolating with a series of questions when they call in.  Unfortunately, if they are self-isolating due to themselves or someone in their household having symptoms, an engineer is unable to attend, but we will deliver temporary heaters to the doorstep of the property if required.

On the day of your appointment the engineer will call ahead to ask a series of questions to ensure the situation hasn’t changed before they arrive. Our engineers will also carry out a risk assessment prior to entering your property.

When we’re dealing with tenanted properties the safety of the tenant is paramount and the landlord has both a legal and a moral obligation to ensure that the gas appliances in the property are subject to a regular, thorough inspection to ensure that they are safe for use. A large proportion of our work is for landlords and housing associations, we will therefore continue to assist them in meeting their legal requirements.

When entering your property, all our engineers are equipped with anti-bacterial wipes and sanitiser spray and they will ensure they wipe surfaces down before and after their work. They will wear masks and gloves for the whole time that they are inside the property but we also ask customers to remain at least 2 metres away from our engineers for the duration of the visit to ensure everyone is kept safe during these times. Office staff are working from home where possible and those who are still in the office, are a safe distance apart and regularly have their temperature taken.
