Swale Heating Shares Best Practice with Housing Association Partners
Kent-based Swale Heating was invited to participate in a ‘Together we’re better’ partners’ day organised by one of the biggest housing associations in the UK.
More than 100 Orbit Heart of England customers, staff and contractor partners participated in Orbit’s first partners’ day in Warwick on 14 October. The event was held to learn more about the services offered by contractors and gain a better understanding of how everyone can work in partnership to improve services to Orbit customers.
Orbit Heart of England is part of the Orbit Group, which provides more than 38,000 homes across the UK. Last year Swale Heating won a £3.6m contract to provide gas appliance servicing, repairs and new installations at 16,500 homes run by Orbit Heart of England across the Midlands.
At the partners’ day Swale Heating joined other contractors to deliver presentations about their work and took part in open forum discussions with staff and customers. Contractors also talked about their community investment plans which support Orbit’s priority of promoting employment and skills.
Executive Director for Orbit Heart of England, Vivien Knibbs, said: “We’re delighted that customers, staff and contractors were able to come together to build relationships and share information so that together we can deliver a truly ‘customer first experience’ for Orbit customers. By working together, we can create a better environment for local people.”
Stuart Davis, Contracts Director at Swale Heating, said: “It was a highly successful day and we will undoubtedly benefit from sharing our experiences and best practice with other partners who supply services to Orbit Heart of England and its customers.”
Swale Heating has been installing and maintaining heating systems for domestic and corporate clients for four decades, gaining a reputation for excellence among domestic heating customers in 140,000 homes, as well as over 36 housing associations and local authorities across Kent, outer London, Sussex, Essex, East Anglia and the Midlands.
