SOLAR PANELS
Solar panels utilise the power in both direct and indirect sunlight and convert the generated energy to heat, producing hot water for the home. Modern solar panels are very efficient at harnessing energy throughout the year, come rain or shine. A correctly designed solar system should provide between and 50% and 70% of the domestic hot water requirements of a typical home.

Our solar panels are designed to work alongside your existing heating systems to generate a store of hot water in a cylinder. The cylinder requires two heat exchanger coils, one to connect to the solar panels and one to connect to the boiler in the property.
GROUND SOURCE HEAT PUMPS
The sun only provides about 50% of the Earth’s natural warmth, with the remainder being generated within the earth itself as geo-thermal heat. Ground Source Heat Pumps utilise this natural heat source to provide heating and hot water by making use of the heat differentials between the air and the ground.
The ground remains warmer than air during the winter as a result of this natural energy, and it is this underground heat that is available for extraction by a heat pump. Heat pumps use a special refrigerant circuit buried under the ground to increase the temperature differential to a level which can be utilised to provide heating and hot water for your homes all year round.

The system consists of a ground source heat pump, connected to a hot water store and a specialist system that is used to deliver heat to the property; this is usually an under floor heating circuit or oversized radiators. Heat pumps are designed to provide a total heating and hot water solution for your homes, which means that (in most cases) any existing heating sources in the property can be removed.
AIR TO WATER HEAT PUMPS
Air source heat pumps extract heat from the outside air and convert it into heat which can be used to heat your homes and water through a standard heating system; usually an under-floor heating system or a system that uses over sized radiators. Air source heat pumps are so effective they are able to extract heat from the air even at temperatures as low as minus 15 degrees centigrade, making them suitable for use in the UK throughout the year.
Air source heat pumps utilise a refrigerant circuit (which is similar to those used in a fridge) to increase water temperatures to a level which can be used to efficiently heat your homes. Air source heat pumps provide a total heating and hot water solution, and in most cases any existing heating sources in the property can be removed.
Renewable Energy Planning Requirements
To encourage us all to make greater use of renewable energy sources, Planning laws governing the installation of renewable and sustainable energy products have been made far simpler over the last few years.
